Faith-Rooted Organizing for Healing & Hope
I believe that Unitarian Universalists are a "shared purpose" people.
That purpose?
That purpose?
To co-create a world with love at the center.
Each of us has a role to play in co-creating that world, with skills, passions, lived experiences, and imaginations that are essential to the dreaming and building of a world where ALL CAN THRIVE. As an organizer and faith leader, I work to support our congregations and communities to live into that shared purpose, through training, education, mobilization, and faith development. My ministry centers the perspectives and wisdom of the people who have been most impacted by systemic oppressions, as their experience tells us what most needs healing and transformation in our world.
Song is the Soul of Our Movements
As a singer, I know that I am biased, however I truly believe that the music that comes out of the various struggles for justice and liberation are the soul of our movements. What words alone cannot express, songs illuminate. As a song leader, I am honored to carry on the rich tradition of telling the stories of our resilience, resistance, laments, dreams, and victories. Whether in the streets or in the pews, inviting all of us to raise our voices in song is one of my favorite forms of prayer.
